Delayed Opening:

Middletown and Cromwell sites will open at 7:30am when school is delayed. The Valley View site will open at 8:00am when school is delayed. Only children registered for the AM program will be accepted for school delays.

Early Closings:

Middletown and Cromwell sites will open when school closes and will remain open until 5:00pm. The Valley View site will open when school closes and will remain open until 3:00pm. Only children registered for the PM program will be accepted for early closings.

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

School Cancellation:

If school is closed due to inclement weather, a Snow Day Program will be held at the YMCA from 7:30am to 5:00pm. Advance registration is required, and can only be taken at the YMCA. There is a $40.00 deposit to be paid at the time of registration, which will be used as payment for the first snow day. You will be billed $40.00 for each additional snow day. If your child will not be attending a snow day, you must call 347-6907 or 343-6208 at the YMCA before 8:00am or you will be charged for the day.

Snow Day registration is for current Kids' Korner families and is limited to the first 50 children to enroll. Registration form can be downloaded from the following link.

Snow Day Program Closings and Delays:

If school is cancelled, please call 347-6907 to confirm that the YMCA is open. If the YMCA is closed, the Snow Day program is cancelled. If the YMCA has a delayed opening of 9:00am or earlier the Snow Day program will start at 9:00am. If the YMCA has a delayed opening later than 9:00am, the Snow Day program will be cancelled.

8:30 – 9:00: Breakfast in the Enrichment Room

9:00 – 10:45: Quiet games in Family Loung

10:45 - 11:00: Change for Swimming

11:00 – 12:00: Swimming

Gym games, arts & crafts, quiet activities

12:00 – 1:00: Lunch

1:00 – 2:00: Choice of Arts & Crafts or Activity rooms

Computer Activities

2:00 – 3:00: Choice of Gym games or quiet activities in Family Lounge

3:00 – 5:00: Snack and movie
